West Belconnen will be an innovative, sustainable community of international significance.
The Riverview Group in partnership with the ACT Government is developing a new residential community at West Belconnen. The project will deliver about 4,500 new homes in the ACT for about 10,000 people over the next 10 to 15 years.
Since the Government’s announcement in June 2013, consultation has found the concurrent rezoning of adjoining NSW land is logical and timely. The adjoining NSW land is landlocked by the Murrumbidgee River and Ginninderra Creek.
West Belconnen aims to be a world class sustainability project, and has registered as a PILOT project for the Green Building Council of Australia’s Green Star Communities rating tool. The Green Star – Communities PILOT rating tool sets a range of criteria the development will strive to achieve as it seeks recognition as a world leader in sustainable development.
We are highly committed to effective stakeholder and community engagement that is both meaningful and inclusive. The project aims to create an integrated community between the new residential area of West Belconnen and the established suburbs of Macgregor, Holt and other areas of Belconnen.
